Hello from Marlo!

This past week has flown by so fast! It has been so exciting being able to meet all these new people and trying different activities. I’m really enjoying the food, facilities, classes and great location. It’s taken a while, but everyone is finally starting to settle in. We are also all getting along well together and form bonds with our friends as well as our expo teams.

Last week, one of the teamwork activities we worked on was bridge building. My expo group (2B) did really well, and we were all able to co-operate as a group. We learnt how to tie different knots and how to communicate as a team. We all shared our ideas and made sure that we all pitched in so we could complete the bridge on time. It got really intense towards the end as we were scrambling to get the bridge in place before we had to pack up. Even though our bridge ended up collapsing, we all were really proud of how we had all worked hard, and we were able to then reflect on what we did well, and what we can improve on next time.

Anyway, we are all having a really great time so far and we are learning so much!
