CLP Day Print
CLP DayOn June 13th we had to present our CLP project. A CLP is a community learning project.

We presented it to around 107 people including students. My group Pakenham Secondary College were 6th to go up. We did ours in the form of a news presentation; it was on healthy living and eating in young children

All our home school liaison teachers came and some principals came. My teacher and principal came up to watch us and they both said that they were proud with what we had done.  I was very nervous to start with but once I got up and started talking I was ok and the nerves sort of went. All the presentations were really good, they were; building a memorial garden for the bush fire victims by Traralgon, cleaning up the beaches by Rosebud, fixing a trail in their town by South Gippsland Secondary school, Parkdale is planning to find links to the original land owners in their area and teach local primary school about what they have found, Woolum Bellum is going to give respect back to their elders by celebrating their leadership, Dangenong are planning on raising awareness of bullying and the girls from Lakes Entrance are planting native plants around their school.

For our news presentation we had live cross-overs to Adam (who was pretending to be out on expo) and movies with pictures on them, and we had chefs showing how to make a healthy snack and they made fruit skewers.

At the end of the day I felt good and happy that we finished.
