Today 1A got back from Expo 2. We all had a great time in our canoes and walking up mountains.

On Monday we left the campus and started our journey. It rained for the whole day but we continued on in good spirits. After walking to Marlo and then canoeing across the Estuary we arrived at our first camp site. We cooked our dinner and set up our tents in the rain.

On the second day we canoed for the whole day. Today the weather was a bit better and only rained ¾ of the day. We all had fun singing and canoeing in the rain. Some of us were even pro gondoliers. We set up camp at a farm under the shed away from the rain. We had a fire that night and were lucky enough to even get marshmallows…YUM!!!

On our last day we woke up at 4:30am and were in our canoes by 6:30am. The water was calm and beautiful. After canoeing 3km we began our hike up the two mountains. It was challenging at times but it was worth it in the end. It was nice to come across 1B in our travels. The view at the top of the mountain was spectacular!!

Overall it was a fantastic expo and taught us that we can live in the rain!
