Hi my name is Sheydin and I’m from Tyrrell College, which is in Sea Lake.

On the first day when I arrived at the Snowy River Campus I was very nervous of what the next 9 weeks was going to bring. I had all sorts of emotions going through my head. I felt excited, anxious and of course, happy. I didn’t know anyone except for the people in my CLP team so it was very nerve racking. We also found out who we would be sharing most of our classes with and who we would be going on expo with. We are with Brunswick.

After a few days I knew that I was going to be happy while I was here and I knew I had met some really awesome people that I will hope to be friends with for the rest of my life. One of my favourite classes was Thinking and Learning. It was really fun and interesting; we got to find out about how the brain works and what our most dominant quadrants were. We also got to find out about the De Bono’s 6 thinking hats.

Another one of my favourite activities here at the Snowy River Campus is Surfing. So far we have only had 2 classes of it but it has been really fun. The first class, I thought I wasn’t even going to be able to do it but I actually stood up. I didn’t stay up for long but I still think that even getting up on my first lesson ever was pretty cool.

Our first expo was really fun. We had to walk about 15km in Sand along the beach which was really cool. I think that our first expo was really successful and everyone enjoyed it and we are all looking forward to our next expo. Today we went with David Tatnall to do some Photography. David Tatnall is a professional photographer he showed us how to use SLR cameras.

The Snowy River Campus has been really fun so far and I’m happy that I get to share this experience with everyone here. I’m looking forward to what the next 4 weeks bring. ☺
