So far Snowy River has been amazing! I have done so many things that I didn’t think I would do in such a short time. I have learnt to surf, gone on canoeing trips, built a bridge out of wooden poles and much more. All of those fun things are of course there to be done for a reason; many of us students just don’t see that we are building up confidence, becoming independent and growing up into young adults.

Another great thing is that everyone is just so friendly, we all get along like a big family living, eating and breathing in the same environment as each other and no one holds any grudges! I have made so many close bonds and have made so many new mates so early on in my time here that I’m sure that by the end of it all, we will all make strong lifelong friendships even though some of us live so far away.

This campus is truly a great place to be and I am really glad that I signed up for it because it is an adventure of a life time and I would not miss it for anything in the world. You learn so much about yourself that you can take on board and develop for the future. It really does set you up and gives you that extra kick start towards your adult life ahead.

I love it here!  I have enjoyed it here so much and its only week 3! It’s great that everyone has made friends so fast. Everyone is feeling really at home here and its weird to think that in a few weeks we will have to go back home.

So far surfing has been my favourite activity even if it was freezing. Bridge building was a great way to make our team stronger and we definitely benefited from it.

Already we have learnt so much about ourselves and the people around us, how our brains work and which side of our brain we use most was really interesting to learn about.

In the last few days it has rained. A lot. It’s made it hard for activities like surfing to work but everyone has accepted that we can’t control the weather and gotten over it.

It’s scary to think that it’s already week 3 almost week 4! It’s going so fast and I don’t want it to end.
