Rollercoster Ride of SRC Print
Cheyenne and Oscar

Dear Readers,

My name is Cheyenne and I was student leader yesterday with Oscar. We have been attending the SSL for 7 weeks now and have done some of the most amazing things that I have ever done in my entire life. – Cheyenne

My time here at the SRC has been like a roller coaster that only goes up, the only down part which will arise will be at the end when we all have to leave. It will be sad to leave in two weeks’ time and I don’t think any of us want to. – Oscar

Even though we are leaving, we have been making the most of our time here by always trying our best to have fun and enjoy the experience. – Cheyenne

Some of the awesome things that have made this rollercoaster funner and funner have been the balance of indoor and outdoor activities. For example things like surfing, caving, canoeing, expeditions, orienteering and so much more has been offered to us as outdoor activities along with some interesting classes indoors like the Herman Brain Dominance Instrument, Peer Skills classes with brought us closer together and taught us how to solve situations, First aid, a food handling course and heaps more. – Oscar

As we live on campus, we also get heaps of free time to just chill and do our own stuff. We have 3 classes a day, along with DEARR and six days of classes a week but on Saturday we have a rest day and we organise multiple activities. Some of the best activities were going on beach walks, canoeing and just sitting down with the others and watching a movie. – Cheyenne

Probably the thing I love most about this place is just the way everything works. What I mean is you wake up rather early so you feel like you are making the most of the day then the breaks are just long enough to chill for and the atmosphere of the place is unworldly, like it is like paradise! The overnight staffs are one in a million and the teachers are all so individual. It just works. – Oscar

Our time here at snowy has been a once in a life time opportunity and we’re so happy that we’re actually here.
