Half Day Ride Print
Written by Megan- Tyrrell College

Today we had the ‘Half Day Ride’ and it was good although the steep hills and the sand were very tough and challenging. We departed the Campus at about 1:40 and rode down to the main road we then took the Power Line road just off the main road.

For the first km the track was not too bad because of the rain we had recently. When we got past the Aerodrome Road the conditions quickly changed, all of a sudden we had some massive hills to go up and down, we got to practice our “attack” position down one of the big hills. We went past the protea farm, it had lots of different types of flowers and it was very beautiful. We also had to go past a Bee Farm. Shortly after that Miss Van Dijk broke her chain meaning that we had to head for home (the CAMPUS). It was a nice trip back and we were almost to the front entrance when we found an echidna. That made my day because it was beautiful. We then got to go from the front entrance to the shed at our own pace and it was fun because we all went super fast from the hill. Overall, it was a great day.
