Chelsea and Dean's Day as Student Leaders Print

Chelsea and Dean's Day as Student LeadersYesterday Dean and I both had Intro to ILP and CLP. We both thought that Intro to ILP was a bit hard but setting our goals was worth it to see if we can accomplish what we set our minds to. The video we watched on teenage influenza was really interesting and got us inspired to write our goals. It makes us realise how lucky we are and that the things we complain about are so little.

Intro to CLP for Dean was really interesting to see what people's different opinions on how to change and better the community are. His team did not come up with a community learning project yet but they did a lot of brain storming and came up with a lot of ideas.

My (Chelsey's) group got a lot done and it was really good spending time with our whole group. We decided on our CLP to go to a hospital and read and do all sorts of activities with little kids. If we aren't able to do it at the hospital we thought that a primary school was a good second option. We also worked out our roles that we are going to do for next class and it was really good seeing our group work together to get things organised.

Our night class was bush dancing and both Dean and I had a lot of fun. Dancing with different people gave us the opportunity to spend time with others. Having everyone dress up for the night made a big difference and the fact that everyone was enjoying themselves and got in there and had a go was really nice to see. It was definitely a night that everyone bonded a lot more and got to know different people and their personalities.

All in all we enjoyed our time being student leaders we hope others had as much fun as we did. Best of luck to the next student leaders.
